Default LAN status no connectivity or Limited.

    hi,
    router model UT300R2U
    XP (sp-2)
    LAN - 10/100 integrated with M.B

the problem is LaN shows status "no connectivity or limited connection"
    (start--> connect to ---> network connections --->LAN properties ---->General--->Internet protocol(tcp/ip)properties )

Under internet protocol properties ---- ther is no ip address i feel tis might be the problem

but ter is no problem with internet connection, a exclamation mark appears on LAN tray icon, how to fix tis problem.

    Thanks!!

if it is telling you there is limited or no connectivity then please check your IP address from command propt for that you can use command ipconfig

after this you can simple go ahead and try to release and renew IP Address
    To Release IP Address
    ipconfig/release
it will provide you output as IP address 0.0.0.0
    after this renew IP Address
    ipconfig/renew
that should help you in this
and you can go to control panel>>network connections>>LAN>>properties then untick the option which reads Notify me whenever this connection have limited or no connectivity

    try this and please update

    1. Go to Start --> Run.
    2. Type 'cmd' in the run window and hit ENTER
    3. A DOS window will open.
    4. In this window, type ipconfig/all and hit ENTER
    5. Paste the results.
