Default Best Way to cut off your connection before 8 AM

Guys, I found this method the best to stop downloading before 8 and shutdown your computer..........
    This 1 never fails....
Open command prompt at 2 AM and type:

    shutdown -s -f -t 21600

where 21600 is the no. of seconds it should wait b4 shutting down..........
If u start late alter the seconds as required..........

Check these links. Hope it helps.

I forgot to add titles to the Links.
Ultimate Night Usage Manager (Ultimate Night Usage Manager.)

    &

Automatic Rebooting Router 2 am-8 am.html (Automatic rebooting of router at 2 AM and 8 AM)

Commands for connection and disconnection (PPPoe Mode only where connection is not set to always on) :-

    For Connecting
    rasdial.exe <connection name> <username> <password>

    For Disonnecting
    rasdial.exe <connection name> /disconnect

    Note :
<connection name> = the name of the connection you've created and want to dial. You can see the connection name in
start menu -> all programs -> accesories -> Communications -> Network Connections.

<username> = username provided by bsnl.

<password> = password you use for dialing the connection.

If you want to schedule it from Scheduled Tasks in contol panel then just add new task and select X:\Windows\System32\rasdial.exe as the file. When your setting are done open the property of the task and add the parameters required.

For me i used to do it like this(changed to unlimited so no problem now)
First of all i changed it from 'always on' to 'dial up' type...
Secondly configured the program to get access to the net when it opens(mostly all downloading softwares has it inbuilt)...
Thirdly used Scheduled Tasks to run the program at 2:01am and close it by 7:55am....
Then created a 'shut down' shortcut and scheduled it to run at 7:58am...
Simple... only thing now left is the manual power off that some one has to do it...

There are many methods. The purpose is the same. The modem must be rebooted/restarted at the specific times. Whatever works for anyone is fine.
