Please check whether you have turned on DHCP in SL2_141. DHCP must be ON.

Please have a look at this guide: Solution for multiple machines connecting to same BB connection

There is a section at the end that describes SL2_141 steps (though not all).

just tried to access it through 192.168.0.1 but the result's the same. The page does not open.

Also the TCP/IP Settings were already automatic

    Frustrating.

    Hi just4kix

I had not set the TCP/IP to automatic in the PC.

TCP/IP was set to automatic only in the Router.

After setting to automatic i am able to open the page 192.168.1.1

ipconfig result (after TCP/IP to Automatic)

    Windows IP Configuration

    Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:

    Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
    IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.3
    Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
    Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1

    PPP adapter BSNL Broad Band:

    Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
    IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 117.201.96.3
    Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.255
    Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 117.201.96.3

I'd like to tell you that after opening the config page for the router i.e. 192.168.1.1 I am not getting the options you have given in your tutorial.

Please delete the BMP image and post a JPG image 40 to 50 KB.
Your connection to Internet from Siemen's modem to be checked first. As per image posted there is no connection.
    re check settings.

dude. your ipconfig output shows 117.x.x.x which means you are using bridged mode, you need to configure your modem in ppoe mode.. SL2_141 (Type-B) ADSL MODEM MULTIUSER CONFIGURATION steps 9 to 13..

    buddy,

I'v done the configuration according to the above steps & now I dont have to do the dial up. Broad Band is always on by itself. Dont know how it happened.

    ipconfig now :

    Windows IP Configuration

Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection 2:

    Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
    IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.10
    Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
    Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1

Also attached is the WAN Screen Shot.

When I search for WLAN on my Phone, it detects "default" & then when I try to browse the internet it get the error

    WLAN:
    Unable to Connect
    WLAN not found
    Attached Images Attached Images

well thats what ppoe mode is.. you dont need to dial any more.. internet works as soon as you switch on modem.. now ensure that DHCP is switched on.. also first try removing any password for your wifi network( i.e. disable WEP,WPA and leave it open without a password). This is just for testing, once you are sure that your phone can connect to it.. you can enable wep and configure a password etc..

    @superprash2003

thanks a lot for you help.

gr8, so the ppoe mode is on now.

Where do I get this DHCP ?

I'll disable the WEP, WPA for the time being.

i think it is under LAN in your router settings.. look everywhere you should find DHCP somewhere.. ensure it is turned on..

    hi Prashanth,

I checked the DHCP(which was under LAN) & it was enabled.

I then disable WEP,WPA and left it open without a password, as adviced by you.

My phone can now connect to the internet via wifi without any problem.

But as soon as I enable WEP, WPA, I get the same error that "WLAN not found" again.

    What to do?
