Default 2AM to 8AM not free on HOME 500 Plan !!!

I'm using BSNL Broadband Home 500 for last eight months. I was surprised on seeing my usage reports that although i have downloaded from 2am to 8am they have charged me. Home 500 is a night unlimited plan. Last night i got online at 12:30 but started download from 2am and got disconnected at 8am
But still they charged me for 145mb download although i haven't downloaded a bit from 12:30 to 2:00am. My clock matches perfectly with BSNL server time. This kind of thing happens often when i get connected before 2:00am

    Anyone have a solution ????

You have to reboot the modem as clearly mentioned on their website and as discussed before in so many threads.

Reboot your modem and connect again and leave a margin of atleast 10-15 mins both ways start and end.

If you login at 12:30 am all the downloads even if they go into the free slow would be chargable if you do not reconnect when the free time starts.

"if u change ur modem settings into bridge mode not necessary to reboot ur modem"
but i am not know any draw backs for bridge mode.

power on modem before i am going to sleep
my system is on at 2:00 am by using "RTC alaram "

    then connect automaticaly on startup

    enjoy the downloads on morning

It may not be necessary to reboot the modem in bridge mode, but it is necessary to disconnect/reconnect at 2 AM and 8 AM. Instead of reboot script, you will issue the rasdial command. So ultimately it means the same thing.

just use bridge mode and disconnect at around 1.59 am and then connect again at 2.01 am .I used to have the same problem but now after doing this there is no problem at all.
