Please make sure you are using a resolution supported by your screen.
If you push the menu button it will give you all the options to spread out the picture both vertically and horizontally.

the admin is right, you have a option to zoom in/out, expand length horizotally/vertically, move screen horizotally/vetically...
plus you might want to check you screen resolution, it will be in display properties>settings....

Try the setting as said by admin. If your problem still persists then there may be a problem with your horizontal IC (Chip). You need a service engineer.

My cousin purchased a PC from HCL which sufferd similar problems. The screen of the CRT shrinked to cover about 75 % of the total height vertically & the rest of the screen was wasted. Even cofiguring from the monitor setup menu did not help. It was replaced by the company through warranty procedures. They said the IC that controls the vertical display of the cathode ray was damaged. (robert_0007 could be right)

When did this problem started ?
Did you changed some options in the display properties ?
[ I also got similar problem when I changed screen refresh rate. So I set it back to 70 again.]

refresh rate is something totally different here and here first check vertical positon and horizontal position on monitor and then once try to restore setting of your monitor to factory defaults if it is not helpful then you need a service engineer who can check hardare for that

My display shrunk when I changed Screen refresh rate. I set monitor settings to 100% but still the display couldn't reach the sides.
