    Post SNR & Attenuation

    Hey i am getting very low SNR & Attenuation value. I guess due to this reason web pages are downloading very slowly. Torrent speed has also reduced. Please help. Thankyou.

    Yes you are getting low SNR. you can complain to BSNL for a line check.

    lower the Attn values better is the speed.yur attn values are good but SNR values are bad.higher the SNR values values better will be the connectivity.SNR values must be above 10 for smooth connection.

    ensure that all your telephones are connected after splitter.. try this out.. disconnect all your telephones in your house temporarily.. then switch off modem and switch on modem and then check your SNR.. see if it has improved if so.. then change your telephone network according to what i said in the beginning..
    PS: remember to connect all the telephones back

    what if SNR and attn values are high? I am also having frequent disconnection problem and during the night time the frequency is high. I also complained to BSNL they said on their side they dont have any problem. So whats the problem with my broadband. Plz help.

    your upstream SNR value of 6.5 is too low.it must be above 10.Attn values are fine.change operation mode to G.Dmt from ADSL 2+.

    Will there be any problem or diff in speed ,if i disable ADSL2+, as u said.
