    Mention modem/router model you use.
Confirm , earlier the connection was working normally.
Check you cables for the system.
Can you access modem DIAGNOSTICS PAGE ?

yes i agree with lovely that it seems to be a problem with line as ADSL lite on modem is flashing so it means your line is loosing sync and the better idea is to check physical connection of broadband setup and try replacing your splitter too, if nothing helps then call ISP for line diagnostics

    Check SNR/ATTN/Line speed Mod ( adsl2+) both D/L and U/L
Check speed at speedtest.net say Sydney server.
.Here is my ipconfig , but how is going to help ???
Hope these will help. Try and restore original settings if no improvement/s.
1.IN TCP/IP properties Advanced WINS select Netbios over TCP/IP default.
    2. DNS settings Change both to open DNS 208.67.220. 220 and 208.67.222.222.
If you want the old DNS add them in the next page ( Advanced )
    3. Appears you are using VISTA. and using Dialer.
    recommended disable IPV6 in TCP/IP properties page. ( I don't have Vista)

Para two; In Modem/router see what is the mod selected. preferable GDMT. for a stable connection.
Para three : ADSL splitter mainly must for Telephone. Even if you connect
Modem router Directly to Telephone Junction no harm normally.
    http://i34.tinypic.com/s4c0me.jpg ( usual standard type)

Check SNR/ATTN Line speed Mod ( GDMT)
check speed at speedtest.net say Sydney.
( about ping time later )
    FEEDback.

    speedtest.net/result/340205196.png Test at SYDNEY
    mine D/L 954 kb/sec 252 kb/sec ping 359 ms ( Airtel OpenDNS)
    Yours D/L 996 kb/sec 94kb/sec ping 1109 ms (BSNL BB)
    1.Ping should reduce.
Try Application Connection Booster from trafficzapper.com.
use defaults till you get familiar with different values. restart. system.
    Or TCP/IP optimizer from speedguide.net.
    2. Modem config access : correct page.
    3. SNR/ATTN should be available in Device Status or ADSl status page.
Will update later if you cannot get it. SEE under Statistics ADSL
    4. Each and every setting change may or may not improve speed/ stability.
    We retain the best settings.
    5. ( Changing OS Registry values etc :beyond most of us( laymen)
    and not usually suggested)

1 - u have a BSNL line... lodge a complaint and read few threads by J4X on Bsnl experiences (may help you to get faster services)
2 - if you can... check the line physically upto the junction box.
3 - Try reseting the modem.

These are solutions to the three possibilities which may disturb the simplest working of a modem - PC connection.

    1. If he complains to BSNL , he can wait.
Why read all the threads here ?!!! How it will help him in geting faster service
Talk all technical terms to BSNL ?
    2. See Below.
    3. Bad advice. in the present problem.
    Para two:
Read the thread from beginning. No "antakshri"

No need to try all... i said
"These are solutions to the three possibilities which may disturb the simplest working of a modem - PC connection"
I asked to go thru thread as Wait Time or TAT is not defined for BSNL in any Vedas, Gita or Manual... It has to be catalysed from our side.. That's what is shared by J4X in a thread.

As for antakshari... check post 1,3 and 4... dont ask one to go for a surgery when aspirin can do the job yaar ...

Threads are only a suggestion/record (FOC) which is useful..

    Bro,
1.I have already called the bsnl 3 times and nobody has come to check it ...
    2. The line looks okay as far as i can tell .. Its up to the bsnl now to check
    ...
3.The problem is so bad every 2 time i connect i have to reset the modem and setup the connection manually as the blinking doesn't stop for me to dial ( I use Bridging method )

And (dont laugh) does bad weather affect the service ???

dont ask one to go for a surgery when aspirin can do the job yaar ...
If resetting the modem, with a working internet connection is "Aspirin' I agree with you.!
He is connected to Internet . he has checked the speed at speedtest.net. Post No 9.
To check line conditions he was asking directions how to get the SNR/ATTN details.

Please wait for Feedback. if "aspirin" worked , I will be most happy.

OK. presume different SNR/ATTN for D/L and U/L not available.
Still Attenuation is high. Check the contacts, and use short connections.
If Telephone line is not noisy/crackling sounds etc , nothing else can be done.

    TCP/IP optimizer from speedguide.net
The website also anlayses your net work and gives recommendations.
Better to select default values !
Save the report for future reference.
You can also post : deleting http www from the link. as given above.
Recheck speed again at Sydney server.
