Thumbs down Problem in opening some web pages

    Hello friends,
I am having problem in opening certain web pages like microsoft, piratebay.org, freshersworld.com. bittorrent.com etc while viewing this sites either the status bar shows waiting or the done, but the web page does not get loaded. i checked the same by disabling my antivirus and firewall but the same problem exists since i have installed the broad band connection. I tried to open the same web pages in the same computer with a mobile dial up connection and it worked.

I think the problem is withe the settings of the modem. Kindly help me out.
I have a Dlink Adsl modem and the connection speed is 512kbps.

Mention correct model of Dlink ADSL modem.
Also check whether you cAN RESET MTU to 1492 or 1480. in the modem.

Problem : certain web sites not opening Modem/router GLB502T
the same computer with a mobile dial up connection and it worked.
    Please explain. Not understood.
    Para two:
    9. I’m unable to access certain websites.
Verify the DNS IP addresses assigned to the computer. Try assigning ISP specific DNS addresses or universal DNS addresses 4.2.2.1 and 4.2.2.2
Try modifying the MTU value in the router.
Step 1 : Log into the web configuration of the router by typing the IP address http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar. A prompt for user name and password should appear. Type 'admin' as username and password both and click on login.

Step 2 : Click on setup and then name tab.

Step 3 : Now change the MTU 1492, 1482, 1472 i.e decrease it in steps of 10 and check whether now you are able to open those sites.

Apply and save the settings each time the MTU value is changed.
    From Dlink.
Or open DNS 208.67.220.220 and 208.67.222.222
