hmmmm, i know that feeling quite well....

slow speed during happy hrs ie.2 am to 8 am is due to lot,s of load between BRAS and DSLAM.u may need to contact ur broadband customer care.

Problems happening with me here in Bangalore too..

Can the BSNL folks really control the speed at night??.. If so.. 2-8 AM will not be Happy hours any longer..
People will be pissed off..

Some1 should really find out if this is something BSNL's is trying to pull..

in kolkata, got max 130kBps for last two nights. average 100kBps.
which is half the usual, but the main prob is that cant open usage portal.

yea i told you,lot of people are using night unlimited these days thanx to the schedule downloading for torrents and also bsnl gave so many new connection without upgrading the servers

hence a lot of people during night unlimited are getting low speeds,servers r busy ,but during daytime the servers r not busy coz the usage is limited


at first i was clueless why bsnl is giving internet cheaply until i came to know abt 50:1 contention ratio and also the marketing strategy saying upto 2mbs speed .which fooled everyone to think its stable 2mb speed

at the end of the day,we need to be satisfied with what we are offered at low price of rs 500 , i still remember those days where i used to pay 2k for dial ups

so i gave up and getting used to these speeds,bsnl never said it 2mb speed ,its 256 kps upto 2mb ,

do rapidshare premium account work ...would i get the speed please do reply those who have tried... or i would be wasting my money

no need to worry about it. just need to get in touch with bsnl to see if your speed has been capped during peak hours
