    Angry BSNL Broadband problem

    Hi,
    2 months back i got BSNL Broadband connection and for first one month it was working fine and after that internet is not working. when i use dialup connection it's working fine.

    i have a laptop and i brought type 2 modem from BSNL (wireless).
    My laptop is catching other BSNL broadband connection in my apartment, but for my broadband it's asking me uesr id and password....

    can you please help in correcting this.
    i can provide you more info if requried.

    wat do u mean dat its asking userid and password.........how can it work without dat?????how did u login da first time?????bsnl must have surely provided a userid and password......
    the user id is the one u applied in the form(if its available).....
    the password is a default password from bsnl.....u have to change it later........

    when u took your laptop to someone in ur apartment......he had to connect his broadband connection in ur laptop using his user id and password...........

    Ask him how he did it....

    BSNL BROADBAND MAIN MENU
    Select your modem model. ( mention it here )
    Check your Wireless settings.
    Para two;Start network Wireless network View available networks.
    How many appear ? all secured unsecured /
    secured WIFI connections will ask for code. you cannot get connected.
    Same way if your WIFI is unsecured others will use your connection.

    when i use dialup connection it's working fine.
    Means you are using a Dialer/Wanminiport in "Bridged" mode.
    Here you have to enter your UserID and PW to get connected.
    Presume in WIFI your network , you cannot access. with Laptop.
    Re check settings.

    very first time i didn't use the ID and password (although i had ID and password). i just started the Laptop and the modem. it automatically detected the internet. and one more thing is the access is local only it's displaying, i have attached the screen shot. please see it and help me.

    You have to change your connection type. From dial up mode to always on mode, and for that you can follow the link probided by essbebe. That will surely serve your problem, I think

    seems you are using Vista. ( mine is Xp sp2)
    ..1.Mention your modem model.
    ...2.Post Ipconfig/all data.
    .....3TCP/IP properties
    ........uncheck IPV6
    ..........select obtain ip address automatically.
    ...........In DNS enter 208.67.220.220 and 208.67.222.222
    Para Two:
    4..Connect RJ45 from modem and connect to Laptop ethernet port.
    5....can you connect to Internet and surf. ?
    6.....In the screenshot you have posted click status and get the details.
