Rep Power: 5 | i think first u should check out.. whether its available in your area.. i mean.. there are two times hope u know about it.. CDMA and high speed e vdo... both have same card(inserted in comp) but different speeds.. in CDMA its very low speed.. so naturally u not gonna get speed in torents also.. for 2.4Mbps connection. , i dont think if normal downloading speed is satisfactory.. then in torrents downloading there wont be much problem.. by the way where r u stayin ? and in which area? |

Rep Power: 0 | Well, my friend has 2.4 Mbps EVDO connection and YES, it is available in my area( for me and my friend both). i am also taking the 2.4 Mbps one. But i use internet mainly for torrents and my friend was complaining of very low speeds (20-30 Kbps) with torrents and 2.4Mbps EVDO connection. |

Rep Power: 2 | Yes torrent download depends upon many factors. so one can not give you a solid suggestion about this. |

Rep Power: 0 | I know that torrent downloads depend on seeds, peers etc. But i want to know if EVDO 2.4 Mbps plan will give me 100-120kbps or not. |

Rep Power: 0 | Hey Guys, I use BitComet for my EVDO 2.4 Mbps, but I could only get download speed (max) about 20-30 Kbps which is very panic to me. Some time it sleeps. The port is not usually forwarded for which the speed is so less. |

| You should configure a static ip for that. Try the following link. http://www.indiabroadband.net/broadb...ing-guide.html |

Rep Power: 1 | In some places incoming connections are blocked. Even my incoming connections were blocked till recently. So I used to get very slow torrent speeds. But now there is no problem for me.I think the torrent speed depends on type of IP you get ie. whether a shared ip or a non shared one. I am getting a non shared IP now ,for me the torrent speeds are same as direct downloads(private torrents and torrents with large number of seeders). The torrent speeds were low when I was getting shared IP. |

Rep Power: 2 | speedy ask your friend what is the download speed he gets with Downlod manager from http, If he gets download speed 100-120kbps or higher you will sure get the 100-120kbps in torrent from private traker site I mean from the Private torrent site. |
