Mention the modem/router you are using now.

As essbebe said, please state your modem name and number.

a) You need to have a wireless modem/router
b) You need to configure the wireless service in the router
c) Enable DHCP in router

my modem no is utstarcom mod no is ut300r2u plz help

Your modem (UT300R2U) is not a wireless modem. You cannot connect your E71 to this.

You will need to have a wireless router for the purpose. Please refer to the Broadband How to section. Read the many guides out there.

( may be you can use some "dongle"
or connecting cable to modem. No idea )

i m using Quidway WA1003A modem provided by the bsnl. and i m not able to connect it to my Nokia N-81. I have been lukin for the settings all over the net but could not get the correct ones. Plz is there any1 out dere who could help me do this!!!!!.

All you need is a wifi network , turn on your wifi router and go to the wifi icon under settings and let it search... once your wifi network is listed there you can connect to it and do whatever you like with the connection.

On the other hand in case you didint know there are softwares available for the nokia e71 with with you can use the gprs connection and make your nokia e71 work like a wifi router and can connect anything you like using the wifi network... yeh the battery drains out pretty quick.

In case you cannot use or dont have a wifi modem, you could install Gnubox on your mobile to access internet via bluetooth. But I'm not sure whether it is available for E-series .
GnuBox works by using the PC's internet connection via bluetooth. Getting it to work is very difficult and I also have to mention that your PC/Laptop needs to be on always.
