The following facts have been notice about Nokia Siemense c2110 DSL:
>While configuring the Lan Card ( i.e. Updating the driver etc) please DO NOT turn on / Plug in your above modem in WIN XP platform.
>The configuration will change the Lan card config of the modem also.
>The modem will lose its "192.168.1.1" I.P. No further HOME page of DSL will open and Browser cannot find the address.
>The LINK and DATA light will never turn on.
For Fedora 6:
If no DSL is installed, Do Not boot your Linux while the modem is turned on.
otherwise the above incident will occur. Usually, if a new H/W is found, Linux asks for installation at the time of booting. But in this case the disaster occurs.
In above cases the Lan card is Pluged in to the PCI slot. The the DSL is connected to the LAN port. The modem is set PPPoE mode.
Solution: Change the modem. Physical factory RESET doesn't work even.
