Thread: BSNL connection often disconnects during 2-8

i hav 500c plan......my connection often disconnects during night unlimited so even if i wake up at 2 and start downloading.......i cant sleep after that bcoz i have to monitor the connection all time and reconnect whenever it disconnects.........what do u think is the problemmmmmmm

make sure the splitter is connected to the main line.
take ur modem to the local bsnl office and let them test it for problems. though i think ur modem is allright , still u gotta take this step. then call the local exchange, no , just go to the exchange and bring a repairman with u to check the line.this is a very common prob.
he will probably change the chord from poll to ur house.
they will do nothin if u just sit at home and dont go to them.
same probs happed to me and my friend. i dragged him to the local office, took those steps.now he is downloading at 230kBps at night.

can u post your connection details

check wether ur modem is connected to the splitter and see no other phone line is connected to outlets in ur home

contatct bsnl customer care or go to bsnl exchange of your area and speak to your division official

Do you face this problem only during 2-8 Am or also during the day times. If yes,then check if there is any noise or disturbance in your telephone.Post your SNR & attenuation details.

i hav a parallel connection to my room also.....does dis affect da speed........and my modem is connected to splitter.........it happens during nights only........no disturbance......anywayz thanx for ur replies.......i'll get that bsnl guy and check da problem with him........

of course ur modem is connected to the splitter pal. what i meant was like this ----- the main line should go to the splitter, from there one line to modem other to phone. the phone line can also be splitted the previous way. only this time using a different kinda splitter u can have two phone outputs.
