Hi NPARKER

Welcome to IBB

yes you can get BSNL Broadband installed there just contact BSNL once and ask them for the estimated time which they will take to install BB in that location, in most of the cases BSNL take 7-10 days to activate BB and they can activate your landline service before BB.

Please call and check with them once

Rep Power: 10 BSNL offering free landline with Broadband Connection

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

BSNL offering free landline with Broadband Connection
State owned Telecom Company BSNL has been losing customers of their telecom services ever since the private operators entered the market. The company now plans to strike back as they have decided to offer free landline phones for customers opting for their broadband services.
The company hopes that they would lure back a lot of users with this new offering as the demand for broadband connectivity is increasing phenomenally in the Indian market. Consumers are not interested in paying for something they do not plan to use and this has made BSNL offer the telephone connection for free without any rental along with the broadband connection.
This scheme is expected to be launched across the country in the coming months. The reports coming in say that the consumer would be required to pay a single activation charge, which is likely to be Rs 100. Rentals are expected to be either minimal or simply zero and the consumers would be required to pay only the costs of the phone calls.
BSNL currently offers broadband packages with costs varying from Rs 250 to Rs 3,300 for the home users. For the corporate users, the packages start from Rs 700 and go up to Rs 9,000 per month depending on the bandwidth.

yes you can go for Wmiax services from Tata or Reliance, as i am using Tata Wimax so would like to say here, its working fine for me from last more than a month without even a single minute of downtime

For more info on BSNL just wait for others to post here as we got number of BSNL users here and please wait for our BSNL Guru just4kix to post here

Usually the Landlord will have a Landline connection. or try transfer to your name.
Nowadays because of cellphone usage users are surrendering their Landline phones.
You can talk to L/L to retain the phone ( BSNL or Airtel or Reliance Tataindicom etc ).
and get BB connection through Phone line. Air Tel/Reliance are "double quick " .
May take two days.
BSNL: depends on Area CC/D.E :should help for a quick connection.
Para two ;
1.A wireless connection as suggested above can be considered.
http://bsnlevdo.themebin.com/
available in selected areas. in Chennai. where L/L connection cannot be given.

2.Worst case scenerio ! If you get L/L connection Free "NETONE" of BSNL for this month ( 56kbps speed . standby . Pay as you use !!)
Only reduced telephone charges

PS: If still have links in U.S, check Vonage VOIP option and get the module.
