Default Configuring of BSNL Broadband UTStarcom WA3002-g4 - Type II wi-fi Modem - BSNL

    Hi Guys,

I took BSNL connection and they have given me Wireless Router which is Type-II.

Pls. help me in configuring the WA3002G4 Router Setup for Wireless..

Request you to please tell me the step by step procedure to setup the wireless.

I have connected to the net through the LAN Cable and not with Wireless Router. I was able to locate my wireless but the status is "Limited or no Connectivity". But I havent given any Static IP to connect through. I have set the Network Connections - TCP/TP Settings as "Obtain an IP Address automatically".

    Thank you.

    Best Regards, Satya

    @satya_madasu
1 : Have you configured your desktop/laptop computer's wireless LAN card.?
    2 : Start/Network/ Show all connections.
Open Wireless network. What is the status ?
    3. Start/ RUN type cmd type ipconfig/all post data here. ( if still problem ).
    4. TRY first without any security code.
    5. Also disconnect LAN cable when trying WIFI. ( No theory please !)

    Feedback.

    ok then please try this
change your network name (SSID) to alpha numeric one (with alphabets and number) like homenetwork110
    change channel to 11
try using WPA-PSK Encryption Key: alpha numberic again

and try to change MTU size to 1400 or 1452 that may help you

    Hi Essbee,

Thank you so much for the kind reply. Well, I was trying connecting the LAN Card along with Wireless. After removing the LAN Card and then tried to connect thru Wireless and got connected finally...!!! Here you go with requested information.

    Windows IP Configuration

    Ethernet adapter Network Bridge:

    Media State . . . . . . . . . . . : Media disconnec

    Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:

    Media State . . . . . . . . . . . : Media disconnec

    Ethernet adapter Bluetooth Network Connection:

    Media State . . . . . . . . . . . : Media disconnec

    Ethernet adapter Wireless Network Connection:

    Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
    IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.4
    Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
    Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1

THank you very much once again for the team who helped me in configuring my router. I was trying this since yesterday and couldnt able to know the basic of removing the LAN card if we need to connect through Wireless.

    Thank you for Smoothvibes

did you get the 192.168.1.4 ip via DHCP or did you type it in manually?
