Default configuring the wireless router ar525w

I have connected the router and when the ip address is "pinged" all is working properly. The next step where I type ip address into the internet browser, it tells me that the page is unavailable. I was told over the help line that this is most likely becuase of an anit virus program and a firewall. I have shut all these off and the problem remains. I tried from the "run" window from the start menu to type "h.t.t.p://the ip address" and that won't load the page either. Is there any solution to this problem or do I just need to buy a a different brand?

    Hi

your post went in to mod que, please check your mail and verify your email address

which browser you are using coz if you are able to ping websites then its most likely issue with your browser or with any of the firewall, please make sure that you are not using more than one firewall and if you are not able to access webpages on one browser then check it with any other browser like Firefox or Opera.
Try to clean cache of internet explorer, delete temp files, if required then restore your internet explorer to default. You can find all these options in Internet Options which you can access from Internet explorer otherwise go to control panel and look for internet options.

    hope it will help you
