Yes the values are proper. If u are still experiencing problems with your connection i would suggest contacting the exchange for a free test modem and checking the stability of the connection with that modem too..
thnxxxxxxxxxxxx but is the test modem something different than the modem which i have............. i mean does it show some additional info about the line as well ........ ?? ............... b'coz i had complained about it to the local exchange office about the problem but (after continues chasing) they simply replaced my modem
............ but of no use as still the DC occurs
..... and while they had come to my house it was wrking fine that day
.............
The line info displayed varies in between the modems of different make. The most comprehensive line details are listed by UTStar 300 R2 and 300 R2U (with BSNL's custom firmware). The same is being listed by one of the Beetel modem too (i am unsure of the correct model).
It is tough to convince the BSNL officials when the problem is intermittent.
ensure that all your telephones are connected after the splitter
disconnect telephones temporarily and then restart router, if there are no more disconnections, then you need to check your splitter..
Hi guys, I think I belong to this category. I had earlier tried all methods, changed the wires to check if something might improve. Cleared the wire rust at the junction. Our lineman was not able to really identify the problem, usually he only bothers if link glows or not, there ends his job. I dont know what to do to improve the situation. Surprisingly I got speeds from 1 - 1.5mbps suddenly even today it happened. A new mystery !!yup its true. Then I tried to reconnect, well the speeds started decreasing on and on till 450Kbps. So what is this new phenomenon. Why is that I am not getting a consistent speed. I have been with this trouble for the past 2 and half months, yet unresolved.
For downlink
My attenuation : always >44.5dB
My SNR values from 11-13dB
I tried different modes.
I swapped modems and checked and my modem is a bit slow than the newer versions. Its Smart MT882. Can someone pls help me out guys....![]()
Do u know the appropriate distance of the modem from the exchange? Use ::. Kitz - Max speed calculator .:: please. Just enter the attenuation value in the box and click on calculate button..![]()
@Noisysilence
Appears your Mod is adsl2 + Uncheck this option.
Try GDMT T413 Glite bitswap enabled.
Check for stable connection.
Report SNR and ATTN data.
Mention modem/router model/make.
@noisysilence
do you use iptv?
Wont the downstream be synched at 6mbps if he is using the iptv service?
Guys,
I am using the 256 Kbps unlimited plan and am seeing these values:
SNR Margin (dB): 6.7 12.6
Attenuation (dB): 49.5 29.0
Yesterday I experienced lots of problems with the DSL link.
Can there be a problem other than the line which is causing the DSL link to go down frequently?
Here is my device info
Modem: ZXDSL 531B

Please replace "xx" with "tt"
No I don't use IP TV....
nice.. and you still have a good downstream!!
Sir What is the distance between the exchange and your house?
It dependson that. Then perhaps on copper cable condition and you can know it by the noise you get on the phone. if it is Noisy (after splitter and excluding left over modem noise), then you can complain to the local SDOP with a copy of these readings attached. aslo inform the case number you can get from 1800 424 1600
