You don't need to do anything particular. If you have USB driver CD then that's enough. And for Ethernet you need ethernet driver, it is included by default in OS.

if i want to format my c drive
....1..If you have decided to format your Hard disk, give the reason for the same.
.......2. If for three months your BB connection is working,
............mention your modem model and any problem faced.
..............How is it connected now ? Since it is connected in USB
...............mode You have to make a copy of the USB drivers .
................in another Directory say D: before formatting C:

.................3. Check in Device Manager , any PCI ethernet card
.....................is available and installed. If None is available you have
    ......................to buy a new card.

Before formating your C drive, please change the modem configuration to PPPoE mode.

    After formating your C drive:

    1. You will have to install your OS as usual.
    2. If you wish to continue to use via USB, you will have to use the CD to load the modem drivers. Otherwise a better option is to connect via ethernet cable - no drivers required.
    3. Connect the modem after installing the USB drivers. Since modem is already configured in PPPoE mode, it will connect to internet automatically.
    4. Install your other applications.

Now a days some Ethernet cards are there which needto install driver . e,g Intel(R)PRO/100 VE network adapter and some others. better first install the OS then all the drivers for your different hardwares connected to PC and then go for Broadband.

c2110-ADSL modem.....now my modem is connected to USB.....
"Before formating your C drive, please change the modem configuration to PPPoE mode."-how can i do that?is there any extra procedure to be done before formatting? ......should i have to unplugg the modem before formatting?

or i just format the c drive and then set up the network connection by going to controll panel(in case of LAN) and install the driver cd(in case of USB modem).....

Do you use the dialer(like in dial-up connection) to connect each time to access internet, if so them it's in Bridge mode. If not and your modem automatically connects to internet when you switch it on, then int's in pppoe mode. In that case you don't need to do anything. Just format the OS. If you are connecting using a dialer(Bridge mode) then you will need to create a new network connection after installing USB driver. You don't need to to unplug the modem when you format OS.

    @Prasanta08
Better give the reason for formatting your Hard Drive C.
Presume you have the Installation CD.

If your computer has ANTIVIRUS/AntiSPYWARE programs,
    use them first.

The way you are asking questions, i am not sure , you can
restore your BB connection. Sorry , if I am mistaken.

my modem is connected at USB.....there is a driver cd available.....so what to do?.....if it is in LAN.....thn what should i do
(a)See POST No 4 for correct instructions, regarding USB mode.

(b)If you suspect some problem in your computer, you don't have to do any other settings in modem/router.

    (c)Format C:
    c1...Load the OS
c2....Load updates at least upto SP2 if XP.
c3.....Load all other drivers.( including Ethernetcard's for LAN operation)
    c4......Load Modem/router's USB drivers.
c5.......You have to install Dialer again.
c6........Your Internet connection will be restored.

If formatting is urgent then do it fast, no worries. There should be no files neccessary for BB exept usb cd (if you use usb at all).
