    Post Is thr any way to increase download speed of BSNL by ourself

    hi frnds......my download speed is usually arnd 150kbps.......but some my my frnds get arnd 230kbps here in hyderabad........so i wanna know if thr is any way so that i can increase that speed manually.......

    (a)post your tariff plan/
    (b)modem model
    (c)ipconfig/all
    (d) speed test.net . Test speed here Mumbai server & post link/results..
    (e) Whether using desktop computer or laptop computer in WIFI mode.
    (f) download DRTCP and try default values. ( Not for VISTA OS)
    DRTCP: How do I use it, & what are all these settings?

    you will get 230 kbps when there is less usage of net in ur area. I think u stay in a highly populated area thank your friends area.

    1. More factor require To get the speed
    2. ur computer ram should have at least 1 or 2 gb Ram
    3. pl check ur ram speed at ideal time in " task manager - performance " 2 to 7 %
    4. pl ck ur residence is very near to the BSNL telephone exchange
    5. pl ck ur internet-conjucted- traffic time - and avoid down or upload to avoid loss
    6. now BSNL has heavy internet-traffic at some area at some time
    7. u pl adjust - tnq

    my house is around 5km from exchange..is that far? to get good speed..

    Maximum distance is 10 KM. 5 KM is alright.

    Try TCP/IP optimizer from speedguide.net

    For torrents, try port forwarding.

    Whatever we do, we cannot achieve more than 32 KBps or 256 Kbps

    In the UL750 plan you will get a max of 256 kbps or 32 kB/s. Usually the speed is around 28~30 kB/s. What is the speed that you are getting?
