    Default Setting Up Wi Fi on iPod Touch

    I have an ipod touch
    recently i have purchased the type 4 wi fi router from bsnl
    I have enabled wi fi in the router and selected the network on my ipod touch
    there are bars present on my ipod touch but when i try to surf the net it says that the sever has stopped responding
    Can anybody help me in this regard
    Can anyone give me a step by step guide on how to configure wi fi on my ipod touch using bsnl
    please help me in this regard

    well.. you need to ensure the following 2 things
    1)DHCP is on in your router
    2)PPoE mode is being used in your router..
    which router do you have

    Default unable to use wifi on iphone

    Hi friends,

    i have an iphone and bsnl wa3002g router. i am unable to connect to internet, the phone does take the settings automatically however i am unable to open any site on the phone. i am afraid that my dhcp is disabled and i dont know how to enable and get wifi connection on iphone.

    i think i have got the answer!!
    on your computer you configure your internet connection and dial it as and when it is required .....
    but on your iphone or an ipod touch you cannot dial an internet connection ..... so what it requires is an already dialled connection ....... that means the modem should dial the connection automatically when you turn it on and establish a connection.... to make it do this go to the modem settings and configure the PCI 0/35 row in PPPoE mode and give in your username and password so that the modem dials the connecion automatically......
    I had success in doing so on my ipod touch......

    Hi i was trying to connect my i phone through the modem and could not find the settings for "to make it do this go to the modem settings and configure the PCI 0/35 row in PPPoE mode and give in your user name and password so that the modem dials the connection automatically......". Please provide detail path.

    Thats what is called PPPoE mode, as referred in earlier post.
