see dood ur weak......sorry but thats wht i feel......u need to fight with the ppl who are not giving u connection in proper way....i mean no of options are there......yes it will take a time......but u just cant go out & pay(bribe) ppl for everyting u wanted......thing is...u think u saved the time by paying bribe.......but infact u r making things tough for u in future......

for me........i never paid single paisa to anyone in my whole life......i have seen lot of ppl like me......yes it took me gr8 efforts to get my first net connection (TRAI, BSNL head office...Local DGM etc etc.....lot of pain & time) but now local BSNL ppl never ask me for any favor for service......

Never bribed anyone but any thing that gets the job done is enough. Cause its bsnl you know.

P.S. I recently received an sms from Kolkata Police saying : Please inform about any govt. employee at any level asking for bribe. We will be at your service

BSNL home500c plan is the best cost-effective plan for heavy downloaders.
U get free 175 local calls, no monthly fixed charge, 1.5 GB free download in daytime, night unlimited(2.00-8.00am). download Speed is near 220 kBps.

We do give some for the line man. It's easy for the government to say to report and all. But if you want the work done in time you have no other way.

But that's about phone. All our Broadband deals are done by one guy (SDE). He won't even let the JTO interfere with Broadband stuff. He is good and will do the job in time without any bribe.

The problem is some guys were in job before BSNL became company. And they are used to getting what ever they want from people and cant change their behaviour.

I heard from my Uncle (JTO) that some line men purposefully damage telephone connections to get bribe.

iSN'T 500 c plus better one. You can download 2.5 GB , 50 calls. We all have cell phone, don't we in case we need to make more calls ? I have opted for startup 250

Then Home C plus is the best choice for you.
Home 250 is not a good idea if you use your internet for more than just browsing webpages. You will get a huge bill. I got 6K once and the next day I opted for UL 900.

Default BSNL person asking for Bribe

hi guys i am new to this site and i want to inform my experience to others so that they be careful. I was a hathway internet user, As I came to know about BSNL 20% discount scheme I applied for home UL750 + plan and I also had my own modem. After 5 days of applying for connection a person called me from bsnl and came to my house, he came all alone shaking his hand freely and I explained him where the connection is to be given. He asked for modem and I showed him the modem(UTstarcom UT-300R2) he started telling there is lot of work so how much r u ready to pay, I said BSNL is charging 250 for installation then why should I pay. He said that is different and this is different he said if u r ready to pay Rs.500 I will get the lineman & start the work immediately or u connect it ur self. I said fine I'll do it my self.
I called up to customer care no.1500 as usual they picked the call after 10 times i rang to the same no. I then explained them abt the drama . They said do not pay anything u complaint to AGM and gave me the phone no. I called to AGM office at ulsoor, their PA gave me the Indiranagar BSNL office no. and asked me to complaint to the Divisional Engg outdoor, I went to him and complained regarding this matter he spoke very negligently and later said u take the help of JTO in the next room. I went to JTO he asked me to get my modem, I came back home and took the modem their a madam was sitting there, she just connected the modem to configure and with in a minute she said ur modem is not working , why don't u buy a bsnl modem? I said fine ill think over it & gey back to u and came off from their.
I the night with the help of indiabroadband.net forums I learned how to configure the modem and i did it, but it was showing ADSL link down, so i called the technical support of bsnl they registered a complaint. After 2 days the same person who asked me for bribe called me & said is ur BB working I said no i have given a complaint he said no every thing is fine, u have ur own modem u should connect it properly and after some time even my phone line was dead. I think this is the worst experience I ever had a person (i guess he is line man) has so much control that he is capable of troubling a customer so much..... so guys beware when ur going for BSNL connection be ready to shell out an extra 300 to 500 rs .If that person calls me back i will ask that person to come and do the work and i will pay that fellow the money he asked for and get rid of this nuisance and may be after few months ill disconnect the complete BSNL connection and Ill go for some private ISP provider as their service is much better than BSNL.

I think it is impossible to eradicate corruption in INDIA. "I feel sorry to tell this"
