Thread: very often my wireless is not working on morning

for the last two weeks very often i am getting connection problem in my wireless bsnl connection. especially in the morning time up to 9 AM.

can you please update your modem details and this is very strange that you face problem with wireless connection in morning only, please clear some points here:

• Are you sure that internet works fine on LAN when wireless is down during morning hours
• Status of wireless light on router.. means if it goes off/flashing or stays solid green
• Any electric equipment placed near to router which you use during morning hours only
• Do you have any big television like Plasma or Wega near to router

please check all these things and post here

Does TV block signals?

Electronic equipment that deals in RF or VHF/UHF signals, e.g., Microwave, TV, wireless phone, etc., near another wireless device can affect the wireless performance. But in this case, the problem will be all round and not just in the morning.

Do you shift the laptop location, upto 9 AM ?
May be the signal pick up is poor. Usual radius 30Feet. (*conditions apply like obstructions, height, orientation of antenna etc )

NO.
TV B/C signals via cable/Dish Antenna etc
will not affect computer BB connection.
Your TV Receiver can radiate some harmful wireless signals from the picture tube. ( X ray freq's )
WIFI router's freq is around 2.4Ghz and microwave oven may affect BB. ( depends on proximity/signal
level).
Switch off one by one all electronic eqpt/s ( Now cordless phones in 2.4 GHz range also )to pinpoint
the eqpt degrading BB WIFI operation.

essbebe i don't agree with you here as TV affects signals and if signal strength is already low then it can block signals, i have seen this in many cases where signals gets affected by TV sets and by Microwave.

thats right.. i guess anything which offers radiation like tv, microwave etc or any barrier like walls etc does reduce wifi strength and does interfere Analysis of RF radiation interference on wireless communication

Many other factors may also hamper the wify signal or the modem is defective. I have seen many other electronic equipments also get effected by electric voltage as in moring time the voltage remain high (Due to Less Consumption)
