Default trouble with the modem

Hi Guys,

I got the broadband connection today.But after every few minutes the modem is restarting.Is there any solution or needs to change the modem.

please update your modem details, name and model number and can you please tell about the modem lights too that if the lights on modem remains solid or they flash or go off..

Default problem with the modem

Hi smoothvibes,

My modem details :ADSL2+ Modem DNA-A211-1. The lights are flashing as

long as the modem powered on.

Is there any settings i need to set my modem always on

since when you are facinh this problem? is modem new?

no there are no setting to keep modem lights on or something like that, please check if power light also goes flashing or not
If power light is flashing then it should be a problem with the modem but if power light stays solid then it can be a problem with your line or with the physical setup of broadband.

please provide complete details
Power = On/flashing/flickering
DSL = On/flashing/flickering
Ethernet = On/flashing/flickering

The power and DSL light always solid and ethernet light is flickering

chk ur ethernet connections including replacing cable .. check for loose RJ11 etc ..

How your BB connection was made ?
Line==adsl splitter== modem port rj11 == to modem
Line== do=======Phone Port====RJ11 cable ALL PHONES (REPEAT) Phones

2 Start run type cmd type ipconfig/all
Give data here

3 Do not make any changes in modem, since you seem
new to BB

4Confirm, whether you get connected to Internet, as soon as you
switch on system and modem
5. If on rental they will replace it
If purchased outright may be for one year same as above

Thanks for your help. Anyway yester day they replaced the modem(Its a rented one).Now everything seems to be working.
