    Default How to increase download speed?

    Hi

    People i m using bsnl dataone service with unlimited 750/month plan and i want to increase download speen , how can i do this? currently i m getting average 40kbps , please help me, thanks in advance.

    for ul750 plan download speed is limited to 256kbps.
    that means 256/8=32 kBps. notice the difference between small 'b' and capital 'B'.(bit and Byte)

    seems u r getting what u r limited to get......... there is no possible way of increasing this.

    still if want to tweak ur settings, u can download TCPOptimizer from the following link and select optimal settings..........

    if its 40kb/s.. that superb...do you really get so much on a 256kbps line?

    dont know about him, but yes -- sometimes they even get 45 (rare cases), I have seen myself. normally it lies near 30-35kBps.

    The simple solution for this problem is that change your plan to a limited one. your speed will automatically increase and this is the only way to increase the speed.

    be satisfied with the speeds you are getting or move to ul 512 kbps

    yes i have seen such things happening with lot many people on 256 plan sometimes users get about 40-42kbps transfer rate.. its normal
    @topic if you want more speed then there are 2 option for you
    can change your plan to limited plan by which you can get good download speed at nite
    otherwise you can upgrade your plan to a better plan like 512UL
