    Default Rapidshare Upload Speed

    Hi all,

    i am in 2mbps plan, i used to get an upload speed of around 40-52KBPS,

    i had to format my system, after formatting it and installing everything now i am not getting speed more than 25 KBPS,

    i do not know what could cause this, can anyone let me know what i should do to get more speed from it as o\i got once?

    it is getting worse my download speed is at just 100kbps and upload onlly at 10kbps

    Test ATM OAM F5 end-to-end ping: FAIL

    Test the connection to your Internet service provider
    Test PPP server connection: PASS
    Test authentication with ISP: FAIL
    Test the assigned IP address: FAIL
    Ping default gateway: FAIL
    Ping primary Domain Name Server: PASS

    this is the speed i get for a 2MBPS connection

    First of all dont rely on speedtest results those are totally absurd!!

    Secondly, check your line Attenuation(means losses) if it is too much then for sure your spped will be affected drastically and vice versa, check your SNR margin {SNR means Signal to Noise Ratio (self explanatory)} it should be greater of course

    also try switching to open DNS servers which are

    primary DNS: 208.67.220.220
    Sec DNS: 208.67.222.222

    I have set the TCP/IP configuration to be chosen automatically, i have not assigned any ip/dns address

    is this called the SNR?
