If you look in the BSNL Broadband section, you will find many thread where people have complained of excessive billing. Many of them had to pay a extra money.

500 C+ users may have to check thier bill every month to see whether they have been correctly charged. If something is wrong, then have to complain to BSNL.Then it becomes a big head ache. Many times the customer is on the losing side.

When compared to those things. Unlimited plan is the best. The bill is consistant & constant. No head aches regarding the bill.

& once the download limit is crossed for the 500 C+ users. They will restrict the use of broadband during the day time.So to avoid this they using only limited every day.
But in unlimited there is not need to worry about the download limit....

let me ask you one thing

did you ever thought u will get 2mb speed for rs 500, ,rs 250 , few years back ,u wudnt have thought abt it ,but look now,

i never thought they will provide 2mb speed especially bsnl(which is known for giving worst speeds) ,i was on ul 900 and was quite happy with 256 kbps speed

but as soon as bsnl announced it,i cudnt believe until i took the plan and tried it and since then i didnt change my plan (i was quite comfortable with night unlimited)

so anything can be possible, but not possible right now ,until raja is replaced by some guy like dayanadhi maran (under daynadhi maran bsnl reached new heights)

so let us all hope that good years will come once a well deserved candidate becomes the telecom minister

I have been hearing that Bsnl is going to slash their broadband rates furthur and in the time to come we will hopefully have prices at par with developed countries where one can get a 8mbps unlimited connection for 700-800 Rs a month and that too with no installation charges and free modems.

dude i totally agree with u but dreaming for 8mbps@ 500 bucks will be too much....atleast if i dream it cud be 2-4 mbps unlimited at resonable rates since 512 kbps @ 1350 is a bit heavy........
u were right for tht matter abt policy making under DM.......lets hope for the best....

any increase in d speed of 750 plan or any decrease in d rent of 1350 plan will be really good.

the highest speed after 2mb speed in bsnl is 8mb speed

so in that way i am guessing bsnl will targed upto 8 mb speed for their limited plan users in near future

in future if they introduce 8mb@500 & 2mb@1350
    i will use 8mb@ rs500 + night unlimited ,rather than 2mb ul@rs1350

imagine u got 8 mb speed and u need to download a 700mb movie file
poof 12 minutes to download it

Yes. But your speed will not increase a little beyond 32 KB/s - at most 35 KB/s.
