Thread: How to configure Beetel 450BXI modem with BSNL Broadband

Hi,

I have taken BSNL broadband connection and my friend gave Beetel 450BXI modem + Router to me.

Could someone help me to configure this modem + router?

Hi Essbee,

I currently have a Dataone WA 3002G4 router connected to BSNL which works well except for wireless, the techinician says the router is faulty and needs to be changed.

I got a bettel 450 BXI router from a friend which was onto Airtel netwrok. He had protected it with a WPA password and now has forgotten it.

Pls help with the following
1) How to reset the beetel modem as I dont see any reset switches anywhere
2) I tried connecting the Beetel modem using the 192.168.1.1 configuration that you have mentioned in your previous threads, but i cannot connect thru to the modem.

Appreciate if you can advise on how to connect the bettel router to my bsnl connection so that I can have wireless surfing at home

RESET to factory default.
probably bottom of the unit near right side a small roundhole.
use ball pen refill.
Then try admin PW password. ( if from AIRTEL)

to check the settings. ( ensure he is ONLINE and post a PM)

You can access modem menu using 192.168.1.1 even if there is a WPA password set. You will face problem only if the modem password is changed. Try ID as admin and try password as admin/root/password.

Are you able to log in to modem menu page ? If not, look for a small hole (just like vent) on the backside of your modem. Press hold the reset switch using a ball point pen refill (while the modem is ON) for say 30 seconds. Now try 192.1681.1.

Alternatively, for WA3002G4, reset to factory defaults and reconfigure it according to this guide. Reset may fix the issues
