Thread: what to do to open router setting?

hi
i am using uststarcom wa3002g4 wireless modem,
i have 600 plan with night unlimited,
i wanted to put the wep key on my router..
but 192.168.1.1 doesnt work..
explorer tryies to find it but it jus ends up googling it...
plz help..
someone else might b using my wifi..

go to the command prompt(Start->Run and type cmd) and type ipconfig and post output, it maybe an ip problem..

im kinda beginer...
so please explain what problem it might be..n how to fix it..

go to your start menu and then click on run progam ,there in the box type cmd and press enter

you will get the cmd promt

there type ipconfig and press enter

and take the screenshot of the window and post here

i got this..
i talked to the bsnl cust care guy today..
he also said something about the ip address being wrong or something but he himself was not too sure..

and would resetting the modem be of any value??

This Ip address is a Private LAN address and not correct.

Para two : Start/ Network/ Local Area network /Properties.
TCP/IP select
Properties.
enter IP address 192.168.1.10 ( If obtain IP address is selected uncheck )
subnet mask 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway 192.168.1.1

DNS 208.67.220.220 and 208.67.222.222
Apply Save.


Now see this web site and check your wireless settings.

Start Network Show All connections
Select Wireless Network
Your network does it say Secured or Unsecured?
Does it need a security key to connect ?
