Thread: scheduled reboot of my sl2_141 modem via i.e.

I am using windows vista on my laptop. I have tried everyting to keep my modem on and schedule reboot of modem at night. But i never succeded. so i had to use the dial up method.
telnet , imrans broadband helper were of no use in vista.
.But yesterday while doing reboot of modem via IE. i saw the address in address in address bar. i bookmarked it and made it as my HOME PAGE. i created a task in task scheduler and made it to run. and it rebooted. the address i used was

http: //192.168.1.1/rebootinfo.cgi

the only demerit of this method is that i cant use IE for browsing.

By default telnet is disabled in VISTA.
You have to enable it.
