The line speed is increased, that means you can downlod upto 5MBps and uplod 509Kbps
But you dont get the full speed untile your account is set to 5Mbps.

i dont think that value suggests the actual speed.
i think it shows the link speed on current conditions like windows shows 10/100mbps link speed.

i have to look it up.

My plan is Home 500 C+ now and before that I was using Home 750 ul. In the beginning it was Home 250 plan. The Line rate has never changed.

H500 plan...i dont think what's shown there is what u get...it's actually the maximum data rate ur line supports and not what u get/getting..

Just saw my pcs downloading at more than 600kbps !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    yes // // its true

    here is wat i did
set my modem to bridge mode
connected both my pcs with different accounts (2 username passwords)
downloaded some files with dap at a constant speed of >300kbps on both my desktop and laptop simultaneously !!!!

i had tried this earlier too but since my downstream was restricted to 2048 i cud only get a max of 220kBps even if i connected with 2 accounts on two pcs!! seems this upgraded bandwidth is gonna be of some use for me

Maybe it increased because you were using DAP ??
