plz help .....
what do u mean by resets itself ? please clarify.
I supose by reset means that you meant to say that you are being disconnected after 20-30 mins thats a usual problem with BSNL
causes:
there must be some problem with your line check your dialtone for any disturbances
and make sure that there are no splitters connected after the telephone instrument
no phone n no splitters in between,,i hv taken the direct line to modem only.....i dont know wht the hell is happening to to bsnl......
also m on ppoe mode .....
use a splitter even if u dont wanna use a phone,
main line > splitter > modem ........ this is the proper way.
does hving splitter makes difference as such....
since it separates the data signal from voice signal, yeah it does.
thnks alot.....i added it now but still the problem is persisting.....wht to do......plz help...
i think ur problem is due to a faulty line, in that case u must contact local bsnl office.
u can also try the following.......
disable DHCP in modem settings page and input the following in windows tcp/ip settings
ip 192.168.1.10
subnet 255.255.255.0
gateway 192.168.1.1
and use open dns or leave the dns field blank or input ur fav dns ip.

onething more aftr putting up the splitter the ppoe n the wan lights do not light up n connection goes dead...but if i put the straight line the connection goes as bfore resetting itself but works......i dont know whr ther is the problem......
see picture/s in annexure and confirm.
Open 192.168.1.1./main.html
