    @jobinca
This modem appears to be same as Siemens C2110.
    There are two models.
Refer here and confirm picture of models same.
C2110 (Type-A) ADSL MODEM MULTIUSER CONFIGURATION

    2.
Your SNR data is fine. ATTN data seems slightly high
Confirm you have connected ALL Phones ( anywhere
    from the
    ADSL splitter PHONE PORT.
    3.
    You can also try this.
In computer ( also in modem )
Change DNS values to 8.8.8.8 and 208.67.220.220

Procedure : Start Network LAN properties
    New Network settings page
    Select TCp/IP
    Properties
    DNs:
    enter above values
    Apply Save.
    4.
    Same way in modem.
    Probably menu item DNS.

    Please give feedback.

    Default Broadband problem

    Dear Ess Bee Bee,

    Thanks for the reply.

    1. I have checked all connections. Connections are alright Line In, Modem, Phone. Even I tried by connecting the line directly to the modem.

    2. Changed the DNS configuration and tried.

The result is same. It worked for 10 minutes. Later the message "This Page Cannot be Displayed". But as usual the network connected ikon is still there in the task bar menu.

    Anything else to be cheked.

    Thanks,
    jobin

    Copy/Paste this data here.

    Start RUN type cmd OK
    New window
    Typeipconfig /all
    2.
    You are on PPPoE mode.
Check in modem any option for lease time and Idle time
usually seen in wan page where you enter UserId and PW.

    Dear ESSbebe,
The screen shots are as attached. Yesterday I did onemore thing. in TCP/IP properties, I just activated obtail IP automatically, Without restarting the computer it worked for 10 minutes. After that I enabled the IP, then it worked again for 10 minutes without restarting the system.

By any chance is it a problem with OS or any virus?

    Thank You.

Your ipconfig /all does not show the lease time.
( note space after ipconfig )
Your screen shot: NOD lists suspicious files.

    Suggestion 1 ;
Run AV application full scan. Also Yahoo Antispy.
    Suggestion 2 :
In same TCP/IP page on top you see the box for the ethernet card. Check the settings click "Configure' then Advanced .
Any power saving option selected ?

Default I have the exact same problem

    Hi Friends

I have the exact same problem as it was for the OP. I have tried to fix the problem with complete re-installation of Windows and Ubuntu (both OSes) and also using additional NIC card. But the problem is there.

Though in WindowsXP the taskbar shows the connection intact, the connection closes and no sites gets open and torrent download rate comes down to single digit and then it resumes download and all sites gets opened.

But in Ubuntu, via PPPOE connection, I can see there is a clear connection drop, from the ping data.

I'm clueless now what could be the problem. Note that my ADSL link is stable and NEVER blinks and also there are NO NOISE in line (crystal clear). All my hardware were working fine without this problem before I have shifted to this new locality/address in my city after a shift request.

    Please help.
