    Sound like a DNS problem.

Go to Network Connections from Contol Panel.
Open the properties of BSNL connection Properties.
Go to Network tab -> TCP/IP -> Properties

Change DNS addresses to one of the sets of following:

    218.248.240.181
    218.248.240.23

    OR

    208.67.220.220
    208.67.222.222

    OR

If you find DNS is already provided (before you even change it) simply click Obtain DNS automatically.

    And Click OK.
    See if it helps.

What internet browser do you use ?
Try Firefox. If that does not work Use opera or IE.
Try to clear the cache and private data and cookies and try again.

    1Change MTU 1492
or MSS in modem to 1452 or 0 (default )and try
( probably option in WAN settings page )

    http://www.indiabroadband.net/attach...op-update1.jpg

    IF not

    THEN

    GOTO

2Use default values suggested by Dr TCP. ( for VISTA may not be useful)

DRTCP: How do I use it, & what are all these settings?

    .
    Modem/router : WA3002-G1
Re-check settings for PPPoE "Always On".

    REF: with some screen shots.
    WA3002
    maharashtra.bsnl.co.in/ssa/nashik/wa3002.htm

    or for Bridge mode.
    REF :http://www.calcutta.bsnl.co.in/datao.../pppoe08a.html

In "Bridged" mode all Ports are open.
    Use Firewall/Antivirus programs also.

vdhanasekar - your formual of setting up the modem as bridge worked. I could browse all the sites. Thanks for it. However, i have another PC at home in which family members do use. If i setup this modem as bridge then they cant use the internet, since WAN IP gets assigned to my PC.
i guess we need to get into Root cause, why when PPPoE establishes via modem it doesnt works. I have used open dns, changed the mTu to 1400, but nothing worked. Can you help me here as permanent fix.!!!

    hi vinv98

In bridge mode only one system can connect internet at a time.. To connect multiple systems use PPPoE mode. Install TCP optimizer software in each system.. and set MTU value 1452..
