Default ITI DNA-A211-1 router port forward does not work

    The instructions are provided at:
    portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/ITI/DNA-A211-1/Echolink.htm

However, setting up the port forwards and then doing a reboot does not help. I can see that ipchains rules do get modified (I see this by telnetting to the router), but somehow they do not appear to get loaded.

How to get this modem/router to port-forward?

Also, when I forward port 80, it says it will move its built-in http server (for accessing the router configuration web-pages) to port 8080, but does not do that either (the router configuration continues to be accessible on port 80) even after save/reboot.

    Any pointers?

1.If you don't have user manual download this for reference.

    New Page 1
    mp.bsnl.co.in/bb/wa3002g4/wa3002g4.htm.

2.Are you on dialer mode ( "Bridged") or "Always On " PPPoE mode ?

3.In Access control all options both for WAN and LAN checked ?

    4.Check with this tool PORT/s
    DynDNS.com - Support -- Tools -- Open Port Tool

    Open Port Results

122.164.xx.xx:80 is open and accepting connections. This indicates the port is not being blocked by either a firewall or your ISP and is currently operational.

    1. Looked at the reference, nothing new there though it was useful.
    2. Always On mode.
    3. Not all services are checked (why should they be?) HTTP is, Telnet is, FTP is (those are the services I want to allow in addition to some of the custom services on non-standard ports which do not appear in this list at all; from the list, I just want HTTP, Telnet and FTP)
    4. Port 80 is definitely open, which is what I want to forward.

After setting up the port-forward for port 80, when I accessed it using the dynamic DNS name from a browser in my PC, I reached the router's configuration page instead (which should have moved to port 8080 and port 80 should have been forwarded to the Apache httpd running on my PC instead).

It shouldn't have mattered whether I accessed it from within or without because the dymanic DNS name resolved to the public IP allocated to me at that time (so the request went via internet anyway).

    hello,
I m also facing problem in PF ITI-DNA-A211 Modem, I have tried setting everthin i found in port forward, also i tried setting DMZ mode, but I think if u see in security>IP>Incoming it says "by default all incoming traffic is block is firewall is enabled"

So, i think firewall needs to be disabled, but i didnt find any option to disable router firewall.
    Pls help,
    Thanks

    @rohan
Please see this. any port/range can be added.

A forwarded port is needed for any P2P client you use, not just µTorrent.
To set the listen port for µTorrent:

    To set a single port,
navigate to Options > Preferences > Connections
Click "random port" once, and note the port number provided.
This will be the port number you will be forwarding in your router.
(You may also assign a port number of your choice)
Uncheck "Randomize port each time µTorrent starts."
The port number will no longer change each time
    I don't use Utorrent.
