Home 500 Night Unlimited time is 2:00 AM to 8:00 AM. Means, you need to connect after 2:00 AM & disconnect before 8:00 AM. If you connect at 7 AM and disconnect at 9:00 AM then it's 2 hours. But some members here mentioned that BSNL solved this and will not charge for any download between 2:00 AM to 8:00 AM no matter when you connect. It's too risky, so I would recommended following the normal procedure until you get a solid proof for this.

You are not charged on hourly basis but on usage basis.

    1. If you connect at 7 AM and disconnect at 9 AM and do not use the internet at all, there will still be some bytes received and sent and you will be charged.

    2. If you connect and download heavily, entire usage will be charged.

    3. If you connect at 7 AM and disconnect at 9 AM the next day and do heavy downloading during 2 AM and 8 AM, beware that you may be charged for everything.

    4. To make usage of happy hours (2 AM to 8 AM), you must reboot/restart modem at 2 AM and once again at 8 AM.

yes just4kix said correctly we all limited user are following this procedure but i am fade now, why should we follow this rule month after month ?
I know that some user has already faced that problem but one think that this is total BSNL authority failure if they do so then every customer has the right to protest against this because when we apply for connection and fill-up the from with this plan then this kind of condition never applied so this is totally illegal and they are doing this month after month i think they intentionally doing this even they don't want to correct the server this is the trap for limited user. But customer can easily proved that because anybody connected at 2 AM and disconnect at 9 AM then charged for 3-4 GB then two question will be arise first 1st How much he download within 2-8AM ? and 2nd how can anybody download/upload 3-4GB within a hour in a maximum 2 mbps speed connection ? I think answer of this two question will be clear they are doing cheating
