    Default plan change process

i had given an application for plan change from 750+ to 1350+...the bsnl guy said i have to pay the difference amount and when it is processed he will call me to pay it...but it has been more than a week since i had given the application on asking he says don't worry i will call u..it is still in 'process'...i am afraid it may get delayed to feb 1st?

how much time does it really take to be 'processed'?

Please check in usage portal REGULARLY,
    under My Orders.
    "future dated " "provisioned' etc.
Usually, Tariff plan changes effected from
1st of the month. ( In you case say 1st Jan 2009).

    Earlier shift also possible.

    Para two:
    http://www.bsnl.co.in/service/bbtari...imitedhome.htm

Except for min speed/ free telephone calls/usage ,
    all other conditions remain same.
No worry, as both plans have unlimited download available.

Any change of fee is automatically adjusted in the next tele[hone bill. If the guy comes to collect payment, pay by cheque only in favour of BSNL.

I think for Home UL1350 plan, One month rentak should be deposited as security money and that amount should be deposited against a Demand Note, issued by BSNL. And the process of issuing Demand note takes 15 min to 2 days but official processing of your application may take longer time.

Actualy lousy bsnl guys wants a nap duing winter.....

You should Talk to higher officials directly. My friend applied for a plan change in August. His request was not handled for two months. Though he stays outside buts metropolitan thats no excuse. He went to their office and talkted to the Sr. AO/TR. He started with polite words and ended up in flames. Then was given his connection in two weeks.
