    hi all,

i'm wandering if there's any way to combine two separate bsnl adsl wireless connection into 1 connection to increase bandwidth. routers used are Siemens SL2_141 & ITI (siemens lookalike). both routers are wi-fi.

This has been asked many times before. The simple answer is - it is not possible to get to do what you wish.

you could connect 2 dsl connections to one router and use combined speed.. only CERTAIN routers support that..

As far as my knowledge, so far there is no technology developed to combine 2 connectins to get better bandwidth, Only auto switching between connection is possible.

    @jumbo98

Will you please drop some hint about the same so that I can do some research on the same.

    matrix is correct.

The only technology available is to have a failsafe option, i.e., if one fails the other takes over. If it was possible to combine bandwidth of two ISP as total speed = ISP1_speed + ISP2_speed, don't you think companies could have done that?

yes what above said is correct.......! cant combine two connections to get better bandwidth......!

basic logic is take for example you are downloading a file which has 1-10 numbers in it. you start the download 1&2 are downloading after 1&2 is downloaded the system has to send back the message to the server or from where you are downloading that 1&2 are downloaded properly then 3&4 starts so ... in two connections the server thinks it as 2 different systems so when it is giving the numbers it cant merger 1,2 from one line & 3,4 from another line...... so its not possible .... ya fail safe is surely possible

search google for load balancing router..

there r lots available to increase the speed

    for example

    i have 2 x 256 connection each connected to 2 routers

i will connect these to a load balancing router

now my out put is 512

    but ...........

    @ a time 1 person will 256 only

but if anyone person is connected.. he will also get 256..

    thats the concept

Default combining two diffrent speed x+x = 2x

I am also looking for the same thing and have some research on it. if you have any input or suggestion or solution, let me know too.
cheers... on the world of network.
