    Unhappy i want an help guy ..can i use 2 comp from ut300r2u modem

    can i use 2 comp from ut300r2u modem
    because i want use one desktop and a laptop
    my modem is type 1
    it has one Ethernet port and one usb post

    can i use Ethernet splitter

    You can use the lanport for laptop(preferred)
    and usb port for desktop computer.
    If you don't have the usb driver
    please inform.

    Yes.

    You can connect one computer to USB and another to LAN port and connect the two computers to internet simultaenously. But your modem must be configured in PPPoE mode.

    If you buy an ethernet network switch (not splitter - there is no such thing), you can connect as many computers to the network as the switch allows.

    Just note one thing. If all computers connect to internet simultaneously, the bandwidth will be split.

    i downloaded usb drive
    in the manual there the model is old ut300r2u and one i have is new ut300r2u
    is there any difference in theme

    does usb works in vista

    The USB driver may not be Vista compatible. Please check it out.

    Personally, I never use USB. I have a wi-fi router. I suggest the same. If not use an Ethernet Hub. No drivers required.
