Thread: Do you know that unlimited home plan is slow

Yes, it is true. Intially my plan was home 250. Then I was getting a speed of 60 Kbps download. From this month I changed my plan to Unlimited home plan 750+. Now my download speed dropped to 30 Kbps.

The reason I found out is for plans other than unlimted plan the band width is not restricted. But for unlimited plan the band width will be restricted to 256 Kbps.

Is this true? Please share your experiences.

The reason for changing to unlimited plan is, with 250 home plan I was getting a bill of around Rs.2000 per month.

You will get only 32 KBps maximum speed in Home 750/750+ plans. And upto 256 KBps speed in Home 250 & Home 500/500 C/500 C+ plans.

You can switch to one of the Home 500 plans and use the Night Unlimited feature for fast & heavy downloads. Or Home 1350/1350+, which offers 64 KBps speed.

BTW. This is mentioned in DataOne tariff page (In a confusing way).
