Default Help to seed.. Home 500c+ plan

    HI,
    I use home 500c+ plan.as u all know 2am to 8am usage is free.
I download from torrents as much as possible ,but I would like to share what I hve downloaded. My client utorrent works optimally with 15-20 upload limit.with this I am not able to maintain 1:1 seed ratio,or in other words I am not even able to return what I have got.I am also not able to seed at other times.
    any suggestions???
do I have to stop downloading for a few days so that I can seed properly or is there any other way??:winkiss:

You get 6 hours with your plan to download at 2mbps and I verymuch doubt it that you even get more then 1.5mbps consistantly.. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Now if you had a 256kbps unlimited connection which would work 24/7 you would be able to download and upload a lot more then you do now given the fact that you would normally get the promised speed on a 256kbps connection.

If the price is in the same range I would go for the 256kbps connection and that would also save me from accidentely going over the monthly allowance.

256kbps unlimited = peace of mind, no sleepless nights, gives you ability to do your thing regardless of what time of the day it is and with your current plan you wait till 2am to start downloading.

    Thanks for your reply,
but I dont think U have quite understood my predicament.I have no problem with download speeds or with waking up at 2am.(am a night owl anyway)
My problem is that I cannot share with others what I have downloaded for free.

Sorry about going offtopic in my reply

I cant think of any way except for reducing your download speed or may be give downloading a break and seed the files you already have

You can try the following settings in uTorrent:

    a) Go to Options --> Preferences (Ctrl+P)

    b) Set maximum upload rate to 'Automatic' or '0'. This should be done for a few days only. If uTorrent is uploading heavily download rate suffers.
    OR
Set upload rate = 90% of your ISP upload rate. For example, if your actual upload speed @ speedtest.net is 256 kbps, set the upload rate in uTorrent to 30 KB/s.

    c) Alternate upload rate when not downloading = 0

That is my main problem you see.If I have downloaded at 15okB/sec,it becomes very difficult to seed the same amount back, as upload max is 30kB/sec.I cannot keep the torrents alive for a long time as my hard disc gets filled up and I am forced to delete even before uploading a reasonable amount.

    thank you for the suggestions

so I guess i will have to stop my vigorous downloading for a few days

You can buy a 1 TB external HDD for Rs. 6450/- on eBay. I just ordered it yesterday.
