Thread: BSNL - Chennai - Slow Speeds -> Cable disruption?

On BSNL 256kbps connection..
Speed has been pathetically slow.
I have another Airtel line. That's quite fast!

Is BSNL the worst hit due to that undersea SEA-ME-WE cable disruption??

I am getting the normal expected download speed (27~30 kB/sec)..
I dint face any issues in the speed in the last 1 week.

I am on BSNL 750 UL Plus plan.

I think most pages were not opening as the MTU had been set to 1492 bytes..
Changing it to a stabler value of 1452 has improved things a lot.. Somehow D-Link routers default ot 1492 bytes...
