    Default utorrent configuration

    hai i am using 500c plan
    i have utorrent with 80kBps speed
    initially using bitcomet i had 218kBps with 15 downloads simultaneously
    right now i hav applied a patch to change tcpsettings to 100 nothing else

    plz somebody post the snapshots of utorrent settings for my speed
    plz ..........i am a noob

    I assume that your ports are forwarded and you see a green tick mark in the uTorrent status line at the bottom.

    Torrent speeds depend upon the shares (seeds). I also have a Home 500 C connection. I have seen (average) Torrent speeds anything from 40 kB/s to 220 kB/s. I do not download movies that much - I am rarely satisfied with the quality - even by aXXo. I download documentaries and stuff that is not easily available. The seeds in such case are low and at such times the speed is at best 60~80 kB/s. Occassionaly, when I download a file with heavy seeds, the speed is as high as 200+ kB/s.

    Also as of this week the damage to the undersea cables is also affecting speeds.

    ya my ports are forwarded properly..............i download at 212 kBps in utorrent for last 2 days

    it depends on the no of seeds of your torrent .. also maybe due to recent cable cut

    Anything above 200 kB/s is satifactory.

    i have
    beetel 220bx modem
    bsnl 500c+ plan
    Utorrent.
    if you want any more info to teach me regarding port forwarding, plz inquiry me.

    1. You could configure the modem in bridge mode. In bridge mode all ports are automatically forwarded and no special port fwdng is required.

    2. If configured in PPPoE mode, look for 'Virtual Server' option. This option is available in older BSNL modems only. 99% this option may not be available. In that case the next option is "NAT/DMZ". Read the following guides:
