    Default how to connect the SMART AX mt841 with a linksys WRT54G router

    How to connect the SMART AX mt841 (Provided by BSNL) with a linksys WRT54G wireless router? I need to connect my laptop through wireless router connection but my PC with the modem. Thanks

    Always check first, the Announcement (LINK) given on top of main page.

    Settings should be similar.

    Presume you don't have the Wireless LAn card for MT 841.

    Try LAN Port connection to both Desktop and Laptop computers.
    Then try WIFI for laptop.

    Default unable to connect to Internet

    Thanks for the reply. I did follow all the steps.
    I am able to connect to Internet using the Modem.
    But while checking the status, getting an error : cannot get an IP address from PPPoE server. file attached. Pls help. Thanks.

    1.Confirm you can connect to Internet and surf
    using the LAN port of MT841
    In Desktop and laptop.

    Reference:
    CONFIGURATION

    Para two :
    2.Start All programs Accessories
    Communications
    Wireless Network set up wizard.
    follow instructions.

    3.Start Network show all connections .
    Does a Wireless network appear ?
    ( showing secured unsecured networks ?)

    Yes i am able to connect to Internet from both laptop and desktop through the LAN ports of MT841 simultenously. My wireless also appears in the network connection in my laptop and am able to connect to it. i can also ping successfully the wireless router from my laptop. Request your guidance pls. Thanks

    If your MT841 is configured in bridge mode, use this guide and follow the WRT54G steps only:

    Setup of ADSL Modem/Router UT-300R2U with Linksys Wireless Router WRT54G

    If your MT841 is configured in PPPoE mode, use this guide and follow the WRT54G steps only:

    Solution for multiple machines connecting to same BB connection

    Default Thank You. I am now connected through wireless!

    Thanks for all your help. I was able to connect using the Automatic DHCP connection.
