pls help me fast, bcz i want to change my plan 750 to 500 now, iam going to bsnl office now so help me
are yaar...no matter which home 500 plan you choose, you get MAX 2 Mbps Bandwidth.

in Home 500 C, offers no telephone rental + Usage limit is 1.5 GB + 175 free calls , 2 AM to 8 AM free usage, etc. all for Rs. 500 plus tax

In Home 500 C+: no telephone rental, usage limit of 2.5 GB, 50 free calls, 2 AM to 8 AM free usage, etc. all for Rs. 600 plus tax

Usage Limit is what you use except for 2 AM to 8 AM......

1st. choose the plan which you like.
2nd. You cant alter the plans..you have to choose one from the three home 500 plans.
3rd. in Home 500C plan we get 175 free calls and not 125 as you mentioned above.

I am also changing my plan and will opt for home 500C+ as we dont use landline for making calls. We use mobiles all the time as now in Airtel we have 1 Paise /Sec billing. so its cheap when i compare it to my Home UL 750+ plan.

Home 500 C: This plan offers no telephone rental, usage limit of 1.5 GB, 175 free calls, 2 AM to 8 AM free usage, etc. all for Rs. 500 plus tax. This plan is suitable for those who do not use internet much during day time and use landline telephone a lot.

Home 500 C+: This plan offers no telephone rental, usage limit of 2.5 GB, 50 free calls, 2 AM to 8 AM free usage, etc. all for Rs. 600 plus tax. This plan is suitable for those who do use internet during day time and but not use landline telephone much. For an extra, Rs. 100 you get 1 GB extra usage but there is a loss of 125 free calls.

Home 500: This plan offers usage limit of 2.5 GB, telephone plan as per exisiting plan, 2 AM to 8 AM free usage, etc. all for Rs. 500 plus tax. But the greatest disadvantage is that you have to pay Rs. 180/- pm (plus tax) for landline rental. This plan is suitable for those who do use internet during day time and and also use landline telephone.

Edit/add: Many people pooh-pooh the idea of BSNL landline telephone. They say that they have their mobile telephone which serves them for all voice purpose. But I beg to differ:
  • Landline rates are cheaper than mobile rates
  • BSNL (and MTNL) landline are indispensable for all toll-free calls.
  • No issues of poor signal, dropped calls, etc.
  • Phone bill is accepted as a valid address proof for many official purposes.

k i understand, but see the above quotes 500c+ last line tat is iam asking is it possible, bcz in 500c+ i have to pay 600+ but 500c i have to pay 500+ tat is my problem

not possible..you have to choose only 1 from above. he just tried to explain pros and cons in one post.

i will prefer not pay any rentals ...180 p.m is rental...so save it...and now if u choose home 500c+ then yes...u need to pay 600+ tax. but this tax is not more than 180... so no issues in choosing this plan.

ok...
1st condition- if you want to save money and you are not at all going to use LandLine + you are going to surf internet for very less time in day and DOWNLOAD is the only thing in your mind then choose.. Home 500C still u get 175 free calls which u can use.

2nd.... if are going to surf net during day time too and you are sure that 1.5 GB is less for you then you have no option than to choose Home500C+

It depends how much LandLine you use. I dont use any so even if i choose 500C+ plan , then i will get bill of 600+ tax which is less then 750 anyday...

and after you change plan read this topic if you are unaware of it
http://www.indiabroadband.net/bsnl-b...an-change.html (Precautions during plan change)

also if u change plan and download at night..make sure you reboot modem after 2.00AM say 2.10 AM and another modem reboot at 8.00 AM or 7.45Am to be on safer side....

this can be automated..so dont worry... u dont have to wake up at 2 AM

if you choose home 500C+ then bill will be = 600 + 10 % tax = 660 + suppose you made 55 calls then its 660+ charge of 5 calls = 665 RS.

read below post
Home 500 C: This plan offers no telephone rental, usage limit of 1.5 GB, 175 free calls, 2 AM to 8 AM free usage, etc. all for Rs. 500 plus tax.

Home 500 C+: This plan offers no telephone rental, usage limit of 2.5 GB, 50 free calls, 2 AM to 8 AM free usage, etc. all for Rs. 600 plus tax.

in Home500 bill = FIX 180 as rental + 500 + tax + charge for calls made above free limit of allowed calls.

I am using Home UL 750+ Plan.
In your case , just check BSNL Portal , login to Portal using Portal ID and Password , You should see your Plan as "Provisioned" this means now you are in Home 500C+ Plan.

Anything can happen.it might change in 2 days or from Next Month too. But keep eye on your download rates....if it touched anything very higher than normal then your plan is changed, but still verify it from Portal
