With home 500c can download 220KBps max in direct downloads, with torrents u may get around 180KBps.

all plans home 500 (2.5 GB, phone rental as usual),home 500 c(1.5 GB, 175 free calls,no phone rental, your phone plan is shifted to one india),home 500c+,broadband rental 600rs (2.5GB,50freecalls,no phone renta, your phone plan is shifted to one indial).

All above plans have Night unlimited (2AM-8AM). you have to be careful while downloading in NU time.

home 500c sounds good value for money if u r not a heavy browsing type.

500 c+ is the best among the above mentioned. The unlimited night time is between 2 to 8 am. If u are a heavy dowloader, then ur health might be ruined after 15 days . This happened to me too before i canceled such plan. I am going to wait for 1 mbps UL and I think u can wait too. If u can not be patient then airtel 1 mbps UL @ rs. 2222 is the best option.

Best of luck with ur plan

Why you are not using schedule download (in any download manager) or torrent ? I am using that but still may be you are partially correct I know that always it's not possible another thing is rental 500 Rs and 2222 Rs both has lot difference

I use 500 C, and I feel that it is the best for ones like me.
If I have to download anything, I download it in the free time (2 am-8 am).
It is also good if you have to control your telephone bill.(No rental, 175 free calls, and, One India Plan).

Home 500 should not be even considered at all (the reasoning will be clear later). The choice is clearly between Home 500 C and Home 500 C+.

Home 500 C: This plan offers no telephone rental, usage limit of 1.5 GB, 175 free calls, 2 AM to 8 AM free usage, etc. all for Rs. 500 plus tax. This plan is suitable for those who do not use internet much during day time and use landline telephone a lot.

Home 500 C+: This plan offers no telephone rental, usage limit of 2.5 GB, 50 free calls, 2 AM to 8 AM free usage, etc. all for Rs. 600 plus tax. This plan is suitable for those who do use internet during day time and but not use landline telephone much. For an extra, Rs. 100 you get 1 GB extra usage but there is a loss of 125 free calls.

Home 500: This plan offers usage limit of 2.5 GB, telephone plan as per exisiting plan, 2 AM to 8 AM free usage, etc. all for Rs. 500 plus tax. But the greatest disadvantage is that you have to pay Rs. 180/- pm (plus tax) for landline rental. This plan is suitable for those who do use internet during day time and and also use landline telephone.

Edit/add: Many people pooh-pooh the idea of BSNL landline telephone. They say that they have their mobile telephone which serves them for all voice purpose. But I beg to differ:
    • Landline rates are cheaper than mobile rates
    • BSNL (and MTNL) landline are indispensable for all toll-free calls.
    • No issues of poor signal, dropped calls, etc.
    • Phone bill is accepted as a valid address proof for many official purposes.

Another difference is in Home plan 500 C or C+ with Home 500 is if you have landline and choice 500 C or C+ then you have to give one month rental at the beginning but no further security deposit as rental needed for Home 500 plan (normal security deposit is needed but one month rental is not needed at beginning )

    500 C + may suit you.

    Reason :

    1. No separate bill for telephone

    2. 2.5 GB usage

    3. Night unlimited

    4. 50 Free calls

    5. 2 Mbps speed

It is 600 + tax. Please check the link I gave (under Home combo plans). You cannot trade free calls for bandwidth.

    1. 500C+ means 500 combo plus.It's different than 500C
    2. There is no option of increasing usage limit by not using free calls.

1st. choose the plan which you like.
2nd. You cant alter the plans..you have to choose one from the three home 500 plans.
3rd. in Home 500C plan we get 175 free calls and not 125 as you mentioned above.

I am also changing my plan and will opt for home 500C+ as we dont use landline for making calls. We use mobiles all the time as now in Airtel we have 1 Paise /Sec billing. so its cheap when i compare it to my Home UL 750+ plan.

not possible..you have to choose only 1 from above. he just tried to explain pros and cons in one post.

i will prefer not pay any rentals ...180 p.m is rental...so save it...and now if u choose home 500c+ then yes...u need to pay 600+ tax. but this tax is not more than 180... so no issues in choosing this plan.
