How to auto reboot Trendchip ADSL Modem and Netgear ADSL Router DG632? I need it badly. Its hard to wake up every night. Sometimes I cant even wake up. Would be grateful if someone could help me out here?

you first need to know the reboot command..go to the command prompt and type telnet .. then type open 192.168.1.1 23 .. where 192.168.1.1 is ip of router.. then you should see some menu list.. it should tell you how to reboot your modem.. maybe press 6 then press 1 etc .. just an example.. or maybe type reboot.. you need to know that first..

The URL works for model MTNL Trendchip HG 520 (Firmware: 2.11.38.0(RE0.C2B)3.9.9.5)

I created this URL based on the page source of this modem. If you can give me the page source of your modem, i can give it a try.

You can put the URL in task scheduler so it will auto reboot at specified time.
For a smooth (no javascript pop up, no confirm prompts) reboot, i use google chrome.

This is from my task scheduler:

Code:

C:\Users\XXX\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe

Argument:

Code:

-disable-javascript hxxp://admin:admin@192.168.1.1/Forms/tools_system_1?restoreFlag=0?Restart=RESTART

I didnt use IE8 or Firefox for the above task b'coz
-problems when using uid & pwd in URL
-didnt find way to disable java script via arguments

you can overcome these problems using registry hacks, but chrome is simpler solution
