Angry Should I cut BSNL broadband connection and transfer to airtel for 1 mbps UL Home ?

I used 512 kbps UL home from BSNL. Now i want to change it to 1 mbps UL home, but it is not available right now and i am damn tired of waiting 1 mbps UL home for a long time.

WHat should I do ? Should I go for airtel ? I am really confused . When BSNL will announce 1 mbps UL home plan ?

    Please reply.

You have to take your own decision according to your necessity of internet, may be Airtel is a better option but still my suggestion is as you are already BSNL customer so just wait little time BSNL has already started some modification in all UL plan I hope they will announce 1 mbps unlimited plan very soon in new year otherwise another option is always open for you.

if you are desperate then apply for Airtel and same time apply for lowest plan of BSNL. if in future you are not satisfied with airtel then you can again switch back to BSNL and can also change to desired plan.

Once you apply for discontinuation of your BNSL BB plan , you will loose you connection instantly...these guys are very active in disconnection of plan and if you reapply it will take ages to get a connection.

Agreed. My cousin has first hand experience with this. Its better to apply for home 125 rather than discontinuing bb from bsnl.

@scorpio, You do realize that you will pay Rs. 2500/- pm for UL @ 1 mbps (Rs. 2222 + 12.36% service tax), don't you? Frankly, I am not that rich. Or let me put it the other way - I have better use of Rs. 2500.

No I try to mention that Calcutta telephones already made a plan to upgrade 750 UL(In present 500 Rs rental) plan bandwidth from 256 kbps to 512 kbps and in near future may be they will introduce 1 mbps plan or some upgradeable offer from 512 kbps UL to 1 mbps UL plan because if you think logically then you can realize that UL 750 and UL 1350 never get same speed so they must have to upgrade the plan facility for UL 1350 user.

    You're not alone.
more than 2222 INR ...... Thats a large sum to pay just for BB. I rather hope they increase the night UL from 12AM to 8AM.

BSNL should prove 1 MBPS UL for 1000 per month.
