    Question BSNL landline + Broadband

    Hi,

I had applied for new BSNL Landline with broadband recently at Bangalore. Can any one please tell how long does it take for installation from BSNL?
I had applied for startup 250 plan.

It all depends upon availability of ports at the exchange and also modems. There is no benchmark - it varies from exchange to exchange even within the same city.

A friend of mine got everything in 2 days whereas I had to wait for BB for nearly 2.5 months.

    Me too,
got landline within 7 days but i waited for a month to get broadband activated.

Its also depend upon the modem availability with the exchange.

Good luck so that its done quickly. Land line should be given very fast. I got mine in three days. For Broadband I had to wait for 2 months in which preriod I was ask to apply for three times. Do check once in week with BSNL exchange.

If you know someone in the exchange, then you will get it mor fast.
I got my BB connection within 10 days of my application.

well, yes. what else can i do?
i have used all types of internet.

    0. i used to go in cyber 15 rs per hour.

1st BSNL dial-up : which used to connect even at 3 kBps some times..and how can i forget the amazing sound which use to came from Modem while dialing connection. that time i was not earning and also rates where high. use to connect when mom not @ home....chori chori chupke chupke...

also i was new to this Internet world...........so tired all BOOSTER softwares........modem booster , Internet booster etc etc for increasing speed.......... then came to know that it all depends on bandwidth and not on my modem :P funny.

    2. used SIFY Cable net of 128 kbps which worked for only 1st week n then on worked only 2 days before billing cycle. also mine was night plan 10-8....
after few days, net use to disconnect after 12... when i complained they gave answers like wire cut , hub issues, rain issues etc.

3, i used Airtel GPRS net 7 rs per day unlimited. Mobile office plan. it was good as compared to above two. at least much better for normal surfing, orkuting and gmail gtalk.

    4. finally applied for BB and now i am the most satisfied person on this earth. recently shifted to UL 750 from Home 250....a mistake i made... but now in Feb will shift to HOME 500C+ plan.

so i guess,i am the most experienced person in suffering pain of all types of Internet :P
