Hi guys, I have heard that BSNL is offering unlimited internet access @ 2 mbps for Home 500 users in Kolkata. Existing user can avail this service by filling up an application. I have googled but found nothing about it. Is this true? Plz tell me about it. Thankyou.

False information.
rather its unlimited between 2.00 AM to 8.00 AM. and upto 2 MBPS

You won't get unlimited d/l in home 500 plan except NU 02 - 08 AM. btw nice avatar

Actually 750 UL is now available(for few month) in 500 Rs but bandwidth is 256kbps.
@funky_08
BSNL is still not able to announce 1 mbps UL plan and 2 mbps unlimited plan it's a dream of BSNL authority also

Wrong, there were plans of BSNL kolkatta to give 500 Rs. but the plans got cancelled. Look at the URL given below

The cancellation notice of the same

Most probably they thought this is good enough. They can do the double speed 6 months down the line or something like that or they don't have that kind of bandwidth.

No friend you did the mistake 500 Rs for UL 750 Home is present but upgrade to 512 kbps scheme of bandwidth is canceled this is confirm.

@funky_08 I also here this, one day a call from BSNL in my Telephone I received this call and heared a recorded voice where it's saying same like your statement. I really dont understand what they are saying or it's my fault to understand, 2Mbps UL @ Rs500 filling up the application.
Then I call the customear care, they dont know about this. So I thought maybe this was my fault to understand their recorded voice. But I still remember same like your statement.
If you get this news from your Telephone then you are not alone.
I leave in Kolkata.

Hello guys.. My webpages are opening very slowly while gtalk and Steam open almost fast.. What could be the problem in webpage opening?

yeah, I will wait till april too for BSNL announcing 1mbps UL @ rs. 1200-1500.
If BSNL did not do that, We will send link of broadband forum to media that boasts of providing justice to people. OK ?
